Lake Stevens Firefighters Local 3235 recently delivered 78 new coats to the Lake Stevens School District. The coats will be distributed to children in need.

The coats were all made in America by union workers.

Operation Warm is a national effort by fire departments.

Owen Hanuse and family made the winning bid in the local silent auction fundraiser. Owen received a ride to school on a fire engine and the right to use the Lake Stevens firefighter’s Vikings Super Fan fire helmet for the spring sports season.

Local 3235 plans another silent action this summer. The winning bidder can use the helmet for the fall sports season. The contest is open to all kids in the Lake Stevens School District.
