Food critic, radio personality and cooking instructor Nancy Leson will be the guest speaker at the Friends of the Edmonds Library meeting, 6 p.m. Thursday in the upstairs Plaza Room at the Edmonds Library, 650 Main St. Admission is free. Senior Center board members needed: The Lake Stevens Senior Center is looking for volunteers to serve on its board. People who live in the greater Lake Stevens area are invited to apply, and the board is looking for new perspectives and experience. Someone willing to be trained as a treasurer is a specific position that needs filled by someone with working knowledge of QuickBooks. The board meets at 10 a.m. the second Monday of each month.
