Opera
Cinderella en Espana: Seattle Opera visits the Marysville Opera House to perform this operetta at 2 p.m. March 25, 1225 Third St. Admission is free, but reservations are required. Call 360-363-8400. This deceptively simple story is about the beauty of kindness, the power of compassion and the ugliness of mistreating others. Set in the city of Barcelona, Spain, it provides a lively, modern-day bilingual backdrop. The performance is hosted by the city of Marysville and the Marysville Library, with funding by the Gellerson Memorial Programming. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Neil Simon’s “Rumors”: Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in Langley presents the comedy, under the direction of Elizabeth Herbert, March 31 through April 15. Youth theater

Snohomish High School: “Les Miserables” will be performed May 4-14 in the school’s performance art center, 1316 Fifth St. In the meantime, students in the school’s theater club are encouraging community members to volunteer to help produce the musical. Everett Comedy Night: Emory’s on Silver Lake, 11830 19th Ave. SE, Everett, hosts a second-Sunday monthly comedy night with Cory Michaelis. Tickets are $10.
