EDMONDS — The body of a middle-aged man was found by divers near the Edmonds ferry terminal Saturday morning.
The divers were swimming off Brackett’s Landing at about 10 a.m. when they spotted the body on the bottom, Edmonds Police Sgt. Shane Hawley said. The divers brought the body to shore and called 911.
“This wasn’t a diver, this was someone in street clothes,” Hawley said.
There were no outward signs of trauma and police are investigating the case as a possible suicide, Hawley said. They do not believe he had been in the water long.
Police found the man’s car and have tentatively identified him based on personal effects in the vehicle. Family members were still being notified Saturday.
