Locals competed at state National Geographic Bee

The National Geographic State Bee was held March 31 at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma.
Local students who competed at the state-level competition: Jack Bode (sixth grade, Terrace Park Elementary, Mountlake Terrace), Colin Chisholm (fourth grade, Lockwood Elementary School, Bothell), Jonathan Mai (eighth grade, St. Brendan Parish School, Bothell), Robert Mize (seventh grade, Brier Terrace Middle School, Brier), and Jack Sanders (eighth grade, Everett Christian School).
An eighth-grader from Sammamish won the Bee. None of the local competitors made the top 10.
