“The Quest for the Lost Paintings of Siberia”: Camano Island artist Jack Gunter and filmmaker Jesse Collver are about to release their long-awaited documentary about retrieving 17 of Gunter’s paintings from a dingy basement in a Russian museum. Featuring Gunter’s original art and animation, an original score by Patrick Donicht, and narration by Ed Bednarczyk. Screenings are set for 7 p.m. April 21 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 7 p.m. April 29 at the Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon and in May at the Stanwood Cinemas. Tickets are $12 at the door. Arrive early.
“A Fierce Fire”: Celebrate Earth Day at 6:30 p.m. April 22 at Evergreen Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1607 Fourth St., Marysville. The film traces the history of the environmental movement. Donations accepted. Refreshments served. Sponsored by 350 Everett, Sierra Club, Everett United Church of Christ, Snohomish County League of Women Voters, Pilchuck Audubon and 38th District Democrats.
