Genealogy workshop
A Norwegian genealogy workshop is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Bothell Sons of Norway, 23905 Bothell-Everett Highway. Jill Morelli discusses “Finding Your Norwegian Parish of Birth” and “Looking at Parish Records, Census Records, Probate Records and Emigration Records.” Bring a sack lunch, and laptop if desired. Habitat auction: Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County is holding its second annual Wine, Beer &BBQ Auction from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Thomas Family Farm, 9010 Marsh Road, Snohomish. Tickets are $10 and guests can bid on items like Disneyland Park Hopper Passes, a spa weekend at the Tulalip Resort or a full year membership to the Everett YMCA. Get involved: The city of Mountlake Terrace is looking for sponsors for National Night Out in August. The annual safety-themed event at Evergreen Playfield draws as many 1,500 people.
