7 Arlington high-schoolers say they ingested edibles before prom

ARLINGTON — The Arlington School District disciplined seven students who reportedly ingested marijuana edibles before going to prom Saturday.

Arlington High School held prom at the Seattle Aquarium. Before students entered the dance, administrators checked students for signs of impairment and searched bags, said spokesman Gary Sabol with the Arlington School District.

During the dance, three students became sick. A total of seven said they had consumed marijuana, Sabol said.

An ambulance was called for the ill students as a precaution. Police also were called, but they didn’t take action, Sabol said.

Each of the seven students were taken home by a parent or guardian.
