Overnight lane closures on I-405 to end by Wednesday morning

BOTHELL — Overnight lane closures on I-405 were expected to start Monday and be complete by Wednesday morning as crews re-stripe the express toll lanes to add a merge lane.

Travel on northbound I-405 is expected to be down to one lane between NE 195th Street and Highway 527 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The work is weather dependent; it was originally scheduled for April.

The new weave lane aims to make it easier for drivers to enter and exit the express toll lanes, especially those looking to merge right to reach their exits at the height of the evening commute.
