Witnesses sought in Friday’s Highway 9 crash between trucks

WOODINVILLE — Washington State Patrol troopers are asking for help from anyone who witnessed a collision along Highway 9 on Friday that left a man with serious injuries.
The collision occurred around 12:40 p.m. near 233rd Place SE, about a mile north of Woodinville.
A Bothell man, 48, was driving a box truck southbound on the highway. Troopers believe the truck drifted across the centerline and collided with a garbage truck, State Patrol Sgt. Mark Francis said.
The Bothell man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries. A Monroe man, 46, was driving the garbage truck and suffered minor injuries.
