Neighborhood dedicates sign

The Riverside Neighborhood Association unveils a new interpretive sign at 2 p.m. Saturday at Summit Park, located at Summit Avenue and 20th Street. Light refreshments will be served.

Summit Park offers a good view of the Cascade Range. On a clear day, you can see from Mount Baker in the north to Mount Rainier in the south. The new sign offers facts and history about the mountains and about the Riverside Neighborhood.

Enjoy a musical jam

Enjoy an evening of old-time music with fiddle, guitar, banjo and more on Friday, and every third Friday, at the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave. NE, Arlington. There’s a Celtic jam at 5 p.m., workshop at 6 p.m., and circle jam at 7 p.m. Musicians are welcome, or just come and enjoy the music.

Fabric sale this weekend

The Clothing and Textile Advisors of Snohomish County, in partnership with Washington State University Extension 4H Youth Development, holds its annual Fabric Sale, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett. Find fabric, notions, trims, patterns, yarn, needlework items and related books.

Proceeds support a scholarship of $1,500 to a student in Seattle Central College’s apparel design and development program, Camp Stitch-a-Lot for youth, and other community sewing programs.

Try rowing in Lake Stevens

Lake Stevens Rowing Club holds Olympic Day from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The event welcomes area Olympian Anna Cummins and offers boat safety checks and a chance for folks to try rowing or stand-up paddle boarding. Advance sign-up is required. The club’s boathouse is at 1803 1/2 123rd Drive NE.

Coffee and conversation

People who live or work in Mountlake Terrace are invited to the next Coffee with the City meet-up, 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Recreation Pavilion, 5303 228th St. SW. Hear what’s happening in the city, ask questions or just listen in.

This casual event is held monthly at the Recreation Pavilion in the Jungle Room.

Learn to help feral cats

The Community Cat Coalition offers its next “Basic TNR: Trap, Neuter, Return” class on Saturday at the Feral Cat Spay Neuter Project, 4001 198th St. SW, Suite 3, Lynnwood. The class is free, but registration is requested.
