Ten students from the Everett School District’s AVID program (Advancement Via Individual Determination) recently went on a shopping spree, spending $500 College Essentials scholarships awarded by the Rotary Club of Everett at the Mill Creek Fred Meyer, which also offered the students discounts.

College Essentials winners: Stephany Angeles-Robles, Ashley Allen and Sandy Thuy Vo (Everett), Maritza Lauriano Ortega, Alexis Luna and Donna Trejo (Cascade), and Allegra Braund, Callie Penry, David Tserger and Blake O’Brien (Sequoia).
