Blood drive in Everett
The local American Red Cross plans a blood drive for 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at its Everett offices, 2530 Lombard Ave. Participants will receive a $5 electronic gift certificate to Target. Appointments are recommended.

The nonprofit ASSE International Student Exchange Programs is seeking families to host students ages 15 to 18 from other countries while they study at local high schools.

Seniors sought for volunteer posts
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), sponsored by Catholic Community Services, needs people age 55 and older to fill volunteer positions, such as drivers, peer-to-peer counselors, student mentors, food bank workers and more.

Help elderly, vets with chores, errands
Volunteer Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, seeks volunteers to assist with household chores, yard care, transportation and other tasks that enable elders, veterans and adults with disabilities to remain independent in their own homes. Volunteers typically serve two to eight hours per month.

Lions Clubs collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids. Donations may be made at Everett Public Library branches, the PUD main office and at most opticians and eye doctors.
