MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A shooting Saturday morning appeared to be motivated by a confrontation over the suspect’s driving.

The victim reported that the alleged gunman ran over his foot as the suspect was backing up in the parking lot of Jackson’s Gas Station on 220th Street SW.

The victim confronted the suspect and that’s when the driver pulled a handgun. The victim said he was shot as he was running away.

The suspect was driving a late model black BMW SUV, believed to be either an X3 or X5.
