Aren’t there bigger problems than bikini baristas?

The Everett City Council announced major legislation recently after passing an ordinance requiring baristas to cover up (“Everett outlaws bikini-clad workers at ‘quick-service’ shops,” The Herald, Aug. 18).

Meanwhile in Everett, homeowners are trying to cope with homelessness, gunfire, drive-by shootings, drug dealers and users on almost every corner, vandalism, shoplifting, prostitution, car prowls, burglaries, mean dogs and the feeling of hopelessness that anyone on the city council really cares about the real problems that we face everyday.

So in honor of this fine piece of legislation that impacts only those who buy a cup of coffee to see a couple, I pronounce all members of the city council … wait for it … boobs.
