No safety violations found in man’s death at Everett work site

EVERETT — Investigators found no workplace safety violations in the June 26 death of a construction worker in Everett.

There were no witnesses to the accident that ended the life of Robert L. Fruhling, 73, of Nevada, officials said.

The construction site was in the area of 30th Drive SE. That’s in the Riverfront development east of I-5. Fruhling was employed by BDZ Developers, a local company.

Everett police and the state Department of Labor and Industries investigated.

Police found no sign of a crime. L&I also recently closed its case.
