Fair food drive yields 29K pounds (none on a stick)

Opening day at the Evergreen State Fair featured a Fair Cares Food Drive, including free admission with the donation of three non-perishable food items per person. In all, over 29,000 pounds of food was collected for Snohomish County food banks. That topped the total collected at a pair of food drives at last year’s fair.
