Man reports a drive-by shooting in Everett; no one hurt

EVERETT — Police are investigating a drive-by shooting Saturday near Casino Road.

A man, 28, reported a Honda car rolled up to him around 11:15 p.m. along 18th Avenue W, officer Aaron Snell said.

After a conversation, the driver pulled away. A passenger in the front seat opened fire with a handgun, police said. Shots went into the air.

No one was hurt. Police found no damaged property. The man told police he didn’t know the people. He has no known gang ties.

There was no obvious connection to other recent shootings, including that of a 15-year-old who was seriously hurt early Saturday in north Everett, Snell said.
