Police seek man who robbed gas station at gunpoint

CLINTON — Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a gas station this week on Whidbey Island.
Photos of the gunman were released Thursday evening by the Island County Sheriff’s Office. They show a man in a puffy black coat pointing a long-barrelled revolver at a clerk at Naomi’s gas station around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, west of Clinton in the 11100 block of Highway 525.
He wore glasses with translucent yellow stripes, a black beanie, light-colored gloves and a gray sweatshirt under a puffy black coat. He’s described as about 5-foot-8 with short dark hair.
