Marysville man suspected in drive-by shooting

MARYSVILLE — A Marysville-area man frightened neighbors by allegedly firing a gun from a moving car Tuesday, according to police reports.
No one was hit around 10:45 a.m. when someone opened fire from a black car on 114th St. NE. One witness ducked behind a tractor. A black Chevy car with a sizable dent fled west around 80 mph, another witness told sheriff’s deputies.
Earlier that morning, Arlington police got a complaint about a Chevy Malibu. That car’s owner lived near the location of the shooting. So once deputies collected five 9 mm shells from 114th Street, they went to his home. A Chevy with a large dent was parked outside.
A passenger explained the driver, 20, got mad when he lost his wallet in Everett. He’d been driving around acting “crazy,” he said, and on 114th the driver pulled out a pistol and shot in the air.
The driver claimed the passenger fired most of the shots. He said he only shot once. Deputies found guns in the driver’s room. The passenger was let go, and the driver was taken to jail for investigation of drive-by shooting.
