Fire destroys shed in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — A fire destroyed a shed and threatened a home early Monday in Lynnwood.

Fire engines were called in the early morning hours to the 6600 block of 182nd St. SW. They arrived to find a detached shed engulfed in flames, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for South Snohomish Fire and Rescue.

Siding of the nearby home melted. Total damage was estimated at $8,000.

The fire appeared to be accidental, Hynes said.
