LYNNWOOD — A 38-year-old man was stabbed at Martha Lake Park early Wednesday during an alleged drug deal.

Police haven’t found the suspect.

The two met in the park before 2:40 a.m. The man told deputies he didn’t know the suspect, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

The stabbing occurred sometime after the man agreed to buy marijuana from the suspect, Ireton said. He was stabbed in the chest. The injured man walked into a nearby store on 164th Street SW and told employees what happened.

He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries, Ireton said. He was expected to survive.

Information about the suspect was not immediately available.
