Port Gardner Rotary awards $28,500

The Rotary Club of Everett-Port Gardner held a Day of Giving on Dec. 6 and announced $28,500 in awards to 12 local organizations in Snohomish County:

American Red Cross Snohomish County Chapter, $2,500 to support Sound the Alarm and $1,000 to purchase 50 smoke detectors

Assistance League of Everett, $2,000 to support Operation School Bell

Burned Children’s Recovery Center, $2,000 to support burn support services

Casino Road Ministries, $3,000 to support the Homework Club

Domestic Violence Services, $1,500 to support program services

Everett Medic One Foundation, $3,000 to update CPR and AED equipment for school programs

Everett Parks and Recreation, $5,500 to extend the handicap-accessible pathway at Legion Park

Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, $2,000 to support disaster trauma relief

Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop, $2,000 to fund holiday hours

Snohomish County Music Project, $1,000 to support music therapy programs

Two Hearts Ultrasound Clinic, $1,500 to support the ultrasound project

YMCA Mill Creek, $1,500 to support the Invest in Youth campaign
