Missing boy from Serene Lake Elementary found

LYNNWOOD — An 8-year-old boy who walked away from his school north of Lynnwood on Wednesday has been found.

Salem Plummer had left Serene Lake Elementary in the morning, Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. He was reported missing around 11:40 a.m.

Deputies and search crews scoured the area around the school. He was found around 2 p.m.

Serene Lake Elementary is a campus in the south end of the Mukilteo School District.
