Let’s take a closer look at Trump’s accomplishments

Trump was given credit for a great first year in office in a Jan. 7 letter to the editor.
Let’s review: To start with, he signed the smallest number of bills of any president since Eisenhower in his first year. He was given credit for the economic upturn as well. May I remind everyone that Obama inherited an economy that was in a deep recession and brought it back with 74 months of economic growth and then turned over to Trump an already growing economy.
As for the tax cut, it is a real disaster for the middle class and a boon for Trump and his rich supporters. People making $732,800 or more are getting a huge permanent tax break while the middle class Joe who makes between $48,000 and $86,100 gets a paltry and temporary break! Ten years down the road he gets nothing.
Trump’s promises are all lies also. He said he would have the best people ever in his cabinet. At last count over 20 of them have been fired or forced to resign for things like lies to the FBI and wasting taxpayer dollars on private jets etc.
He promised to build a huge wall and make Mexico pay for it. He won’t and they won’t. His budget for the wall for 2018 is $1.6 billion which will do less than 100 miles. The border is 2,000 miles long so you can do the math.
He was going to repeal Obamacare “on the very first day in office.” He didn’t. Ending the mandate did not repeal Obamacare it will just make it much more exspensive for those who need it. He has done nothing on the infrastucture, nothing about the opioid epidemic, no where near enough help for Puerto Rico, and no solutions to anything else I can think of.
In closing his presidency is a total diaster!
