MUKILTEO — Police are looking for a young suspect after a “sudden increase” in burglaries off Mukilteo Speedway.

The break-ins have been happening in the late afternoon and early evening hours, according to Mukilteo police. Detectives released blurry security photos Friday afternoon of a suspect wearing a beanie and a backpack. He’s described as in his late teens or early 20s, thin and within a couple of inches of 5-foot-8.

Crime Stoppers are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Tips can be directed to 800-222-TIPS, or a police tip line at 425-263-8108.
