LYNNWOOD — An attic fire sent flames through the roof of a vacant house early Saturday in Lynnwood.

The home had recently been remodeled and put up for rent, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue.

Neighbors reported the smoke and flames around 1:20 a.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of 197th Place SW. The fire’s cause and exact point of origin were being investigated by the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Damage was estimated at $80,000.

No one was hurt.
