It’s almost time to put on your green clothing and start practicing those Irish jokes: St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner.

Plenty of restaurants and pubs in Snohomish County will have an Irish charm about them on March 17, from bagpipers to green beer. Shamrock concerts, leprechaun sightings and Celtic dancing are also on tap.

Celebrate responsibly.

The Irishmen: The festivities begin at 11 a.m. and don’t end until 2 a.m. The authentic Irish pub at 2923 Colby Ave, Everett, will be serving a St. Patrick’s Day menu. There will be live entertainment and a beer garden. Cover charge is $10. Call 425-374-5783. More at www.theirishmen.com.

Dervish: Irish band Dervish is performing at 7:30 p.m. at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N, Edmonds. Dervish has played festivals around the world, from Rock in Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Glastonbury in England. Tickets, from $15, are almost sold out. More at www.edmondscenterforthearts.org.

The Getaway Tavern: The party starts at 5 p.m. with a free corned beef dinner while supplies last, followed by a bagpipe band, door prizes, a beer pong tournament and Irish-themed cocktails at 24309 56th Ave. W., Mountlake Terrace. There’s also pool, darts and pull tabs. Call 425-771-8478.

McMenamins: Find St. Patrick’s Day Across the Land events at the Anderson School, 18607 Bothell Way NE, Bothell. The all-day party features live music, dancers and a menu of traditional Irish food and drinks. Entertainers include Molly Malone Irish Dancers, Hawthorne Roots, Outbound Traveler, Anchor & Reel Trio and River City Pipe Band. Songs of the Shamrock: The Monroe Concert Band performs a free St. Patrick’s Day concert at 7 p.m. at the Wagner Performing Arts Center, 639 West Main St., Monroe. The program includes traditional songs like “Danny Boy” and “Irish Washerwoman,” as well as newer compositions like “The Emerald Isle” and “Kirkpatrick’s Muse.” More at www.monroeconcertband.org.

Shawn O’Donnell’s: The American grill and Irish pub’s celebration is from 7 a.m. to midnight. There will be face painting, an Irish buffet, leprechaun sightings, live music, a beer garden, bagpipes, Irish dancers and more at 122 128th St., SE, Everett. The event even has its own hashtag: #ODonnellFest. Performers include Carrigaline, Kenmore Pipes & Drums, Stark Raving Plaid, Well-Known Strangers and Stout Pounders. More at www.shawnodonnells.com.

Scuttlebutt Brewing: Rumor has it that the restaurant and pub at 1205 Craftsman Way No. 101, Everett, will have green-dyed beer on tap.
