MARTHA LAKE — A Bothell teenager with a gun tried to rip off $2,000 in marijuana from a Mariner High School student, and ended up getting stabbed in the armpit, according to police reports filed in court.
Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies were called around 5 p.m. to a fight on 146th Street SW. They pulled over a man in a fleeing car, who told them he had a gun under the front passenger seat.
The man, 18, agreed to talk with police. He admitted around 4 p.m. he’d set up a deal over Snapchat to buy $2,000 in cannabis from a high school senior.
“At no time did he plan to actually pay for the marijuana,” court papers say. “(He) stated he was going to sell the marijuana and use the money to pay his rent.”
He got into a car with two people inside, pulled out the revolver and demanded the weed, according to the reports. There was a fight over the gun. One person in the car stabbed his left underarm. His injuries weren’t life-threatening. Deputies arrested the teen for investigation of first-degree robbery.
The case was still being investigated Thursday.
