ProjectUCan presented a Game Changer Rising Star Award to Alderwood Middle School student Faith Murray. Scholarships are awarded to students who are academically strong and show leadership within their community.

Faith was honored for helping many nonprofits. She recently created her own nonprofit, Hope Group, in which she and other student members meet monthly, bring their dues money and decide what charity that month they want to support. So far, they have helped fund building homes in Honduras, supplied books for schools in Africa, helped over 200 people with neglected tropical diseases, supported no-kill shelters and other community services.
