1.Swap ‘em.
Kids eventually outgrow their bicycles.
But that doesn’t mean you have to buy them a new one.
Trade smaller bicycles for larger ones at the 16th annual Kids Bike Swap at 11 a.m. June 10 at 2531 Broadway Ave., Everett. All swapped bikes are checked for safety.
Bring the Sharing Wheels’ flier for the event and receive a $10 coupon at the store. You can also get credit for your trade-in bike based on its size and condition.Swapping bikes comes with a free helmet.

2. Shred ‘em.
Have too many private files lying around the house? It’s time to do some paper shredding.
The fifth annual Shredding Truck Event is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 16 in front of the KcKeon Financial office at 1507 172nd St. NE, Suite 201, Marysville. A truck from Pacific Northwest Shredding will dispose of confidential files on-site for free. Limit six boxes of papers per household.
There will also be a food drive run by the Faith Lutheran Church in the parking lot. When boxing up your shreddables, be sure to grab some canned foods to donate as well.
