Person killed in car crash near Darrington

DARRINGTON — One person died after crashing into a tree near Darrington on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened just after 2 p.m. on Highway 530 at Estes Road, said trooper Heather Axtman, of the Washington State Patrol.
No other information was immediately available.
