Driver arrested after car crash injures passenger

LYNNWOOD — A man was arrested for investigation of vehicular assault early Monday after a crash left a 29-year-old woman passenger with serious injuries.
The driver, 28, veered from the road and hit an embankment at about 1 a.m. west of Lynnwood. He totaled his 2015 Nissan Altima while exiting Highway 525 onto the Alderwood Mall Parkway offramp. Troopers believe he was under the influence.
The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Jail records show the man was booked around 8 a.m.
