Edmonds mobile home park clubhouse fire sends 1 to hospital

EDMONDS — One person was taken to the hospital after the clubhouse of a mobile home park caught fire Sunday evening.

Flames were shooting through the roof of the two-story clubhouse at Ridge Acres Mobile Home Park when South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue was called around 11:20 p.m., spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said. A person suffered smoke exposure and was taken to the hospital.
The fire caused damage to nearby mobile homes off Edmonds Way and 232nd Street SW, but the extent was not yet determined. Hynes said the fire took about 40 minutes to get under control.
The cause is being investigated.
