County moves to paperless permitting

Snohomish County Planning and Development Services is ready to move to an all-electronic permitting process starting Sept. 1.

Electronic permitting isn’t entirely new, as the department has been accepting some types of online submittals for years. Staff remains available to help people without access to a computer, including assistance establishing an account on www.mybuildingpermit.com.

Two workshops about the paperless system are scheduled: one from 10 to 11 a.m. Aug. 28 and another from 6 to 7 p.m. Aug. 29. The location for both is the Robert Drewel building, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Space is limited.
