Local graduates, college students win BECU scholarships

The BECU Foundation awarded 80 BECU student members either $2,500 or $3,500 scholarships each to use toward postsecondary degree programs.
Local winners: Angela Lee, Kamiak High School; Carson Mielke, Marysville Getchell High School; Danielle Scanes, Everett High School; Gurleen Birk, Mariner High School; Kelsey Green, Granite Falls High School; Maddie Seidel, Bothell High School; Madeleine Schwitters, of Lynnwood, King’s Schools; Madisen Barre-Hemingway, Edmonds-Woodway High School; Kassi Blanchard, of Everett, Western Washington University; Charlie Roll, of Bothell, Brigham Young University; Lily Aksan, of Mill Creek, Parsons School of Design; Matthew Battern, of Edmonds, Renton Technical College.
