Lynnwood man found dead near Index-area hike

INDEX — A 33-year-old Lynnwood man was found dead Tuesday morning near Blanca Lake.
Steven T. Le had not returned from a Monday afternoon visit to the popular hiking destination off U.S. 2. His family reportedly went to the trail to look for him, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. A sheriff’s office search and rescue team went out after midnight Tuesday.
Le was found dead in Troublesome Creek, a creek that connects to Blanca Lake. He had drowned, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. His identity was released Wednesday evening. His death has been ruled an accident.
