Woman dies in south Everett hit-and-run

EVERETT — A woman died Saturday night after being struck by a car in the Silver Lake area.

The driver took off after the crash, which occurred just after 8 p.m., Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.

The woman appeared to be in her late 50s, Snell said. She was hit while crossing the street in the 9700 block of 19th Avenue SE.

The vehicle involved is believed to be a red SUV, potentially with front-end damage. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 425-257-8450.
