Boy Scout Kevin Mulvaney coordinated a volunteer effort to rebuild a park sign for the Lake Stevens Disc Golf Course as part of a project to earn his Eagle Scout Award, the scouting program’s highest rank. The sign had deteriorated over the years and had been struck by a vehicle. The original sign was sanded, painted, and reinstalled with the addition of a raised flower bed.

Mulvaney is a sophomore at Grace Academy.

He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 180, chartered by the Knights of Columbus 7683 and St. Mary Catholic Church. A Court of Honor ceremony will be held Oct. 27.
