LYNNWOOD — Four people, including a child, were hurt in a car crash and taken to hospitals Monday morning.

People had to be extricated from the wreckage in the 20200 block of 44th Avenue W. A child, man and woman were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, South Snohomish Fire & Rescue said. The man and woman had serious injuries, South Snohomish Fire & Rescue spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.

Another man went to Swedish Hospital in Edmonds.

The two men were in one car, and the woman and child were in the other.

The crash was reported shortly before 9:15 a.m.

What led to the collision was under investigation by Lynnwood police. But drivers awoke to a thick fog blanketing much of the Puget Sound area, including Lynnwood.
