Silvertips capitalize on power-play chances in win over Blazers

KAMLOOPS, British Columbia — The Everett Silvertips converted five of their eight power-play opportunities Friday in their 6-1 win over the Kamloops Blazers at Sandman Centre.

Sean Richards, Akash Bains, Jake Christensen, Jackson Berezowski and Riley Sutter scored first-half goals with the man advantage for the Silvertips.

Bains scored his second goal of the game at even strength in the second period.

Gianni Fairbrother recorded four assists for Everett (12-6-0-0), which outshot Kamloops 35-14.

Max Palaga had seven saves for the Silvertips.
