Suspected at-fault driver ran away from Edmonds car wreck

EDMONDS — A driver allegedly ran from the scene of a car crash that seriously injured someone Monday night.

Edmonds police said southbound Highway 99 was closed at 234th Street SW for a multiple car wreck before 6 p.m.

The alleged at-fault driver ran away and was later tracked by police dogs. It was unclear if the suspected driver was caught.

One person was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

That area of the road was closed for a few hours.
