HEADS UP

Veterans Memorial reaches goal

It will be a special Memorial Day in Bothell.

The Northshore Veterans Memorial Fund campaign surpassed its $25,000 goal, raising over $29,000. The granite is now ordered, and work is underway to prepare the site with permits, lighting and other needs.

Organizers had wanted to dedicate the memorial on Memorial Day 2019, but this fall were unsure they would be able to meet that goal. Memorial Day is May 27.

The memorial will be installed outside the entry to Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell. Names of fallen classmates will be engraved on the monument’s curved panels.
