LYNNWOOD — Two people were taken to a hospital Sunday morning after a head-on car crash in the 4000 block of 164th Street SW.

South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue firefighters had to remove a patient from one of the vehicles. The road, between Highways 99 and 525, reportedly was slick with oil before the crash. The source of that oil was unclear, and a sanding truck was called in to address it.

There was no information provided about the condition of the injured.
