WAYS TO HELP

Food banks affected

Volunteers of America is asking for food bank donations amid the government shutdown. Folks can bring food to one of its pantries in Sultan and Everett, including the location at 1230 Broadway.

The organization has lost funding during the shutdown, and has gained customers as federal workers are without pay. Supplies also are low following the busy holiday season. Volunteers of America helps stock all food banks in Snohomish County.

Those who plan to use the food bank need to bring ID and a bill with a current address.
