Two suffer life-threatening injuries in Tulalip crash

TULALIP — Two women were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with life-threatening injuries after a two-car collision Monday afternoon, according to the Marysville Fire District.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m., the crash completely shut down Marine Drive NE near the intersection of 27th Avenue NE on the Tulalip Indian Reservation. The road was expected to remain closed for hours, said Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Courtney O’Keefe.
The women were trapped in their cars and needed to be extricated, according to the Marysville Fire District. Another man and woman were injured and also taken to Providence.
The sheriff’s Collision Investigation Unit and Tulalip Police Department will be trying to determine what caused the collision.
