Costco in Lake Stevens will save drive time, bring jobs to city

Here we go again. Some of Lake Stevens and Snohomish residents are against Costco. Just imagine how many cars it would take off the roads if the Costco were out here. Hundreds upon hundreds of people shop at Costco. All other customers they have from Lake Stevens, Snohomish, Monroe, East Marysville and Gold Bar and Sultan, too. All those cars go across the trestle to get to south Everett and shop at Costco. This would stop all those cars and heavy traffic.

The movie theaters were stopped out here so now people from these areas have to travel to Everett to go to the movies.

Same with the Lake Stevens Library. A bond for its expansion was voted down. Lots of people go to the Everett library because Lake Stevens’ library is too small.

Opponents say nothing about the massive growth in the Lake Stevens area. Hundreds upon hundreds of homes have been built here. All those people will have to go across the trestle instead of shopping here.

People from Everett will not be coming out here to Costco, but you will save people from having to shop in Everett.

It’s time Lake Stevens started supporting businesses out here in our area. Imagine the revenue coming in from Costco. The jobs it will create. We are not this sleepy little village anymore.
