Christiansen makes immediate impact in Silvertips’ win

SWIFT CURRENT, Saskatchewan — Jake Christiansen scored a goal and added two assists in his return to the lineup and the Everett Silvertips cruised past the Swift Current Broncos 5-1 on Friday in their second game of a four-game road trip through the Eastern Conference.

Christiansen, who rejoined Everett after being released from his professional tryout with the American Hockey League’s Stockton Heat on Thursday, assisted on one of the Silvertips’ three first-period goals. He then scored in the second before adding another assist on Conrad Mitchell’s goal in the third period.

Bryce Kindopp scored his 16th and 17th goals of the season and Cole Fonstad added a goal and two assists for Everett.

Keegan Karki stopped 25 of 26 shots for the Silvertips (19-6-1-0).

Isaac Poulter stopped 29 of 34 shots for the Broncos (6-18-1-2).
