Home is Where the Art is: This short-film series running through May 4 gives you a peek inside the home studios of some of your favorite local artists. The short films will appear daily on the Schack Art Center’s website. Silent Movie and Pipe Organ Series: 7:30 p.m. May 15, Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Watch three Buster Keaton shorts: “The Boat” (1921), “Hard Luck” (1922) and “The Playhouse” (1921). Tickets are $14-$17. Sunday Films at the Library: 2 p.m. May 17, Everett main library, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Showing is “Un Traductor,” a Cuban film from 2018 about a Russian literature professor (Rodrigo Santoro) at the University of Havana who is ordered to work as a translator for child victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster when they are sent to Cuba for medical treatment. Film Noir at the Library: Attend monthly screenings of film noir at the Evergreen Branch, Everett Public Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett. On May 27, see the 1948 movie “Sorry Wrong Number.” Due to a telephone glitch, a woman in a wheelchair overhears a conversation planning a murder. Written off by the police, the woman struggles to uncover the truth through a series of phone calls that only lead her deeper into the mystery. Film Noir at the Library: Attend monthly screenings of film noir at the Evergreen Branch, Everett Public Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett. On June 24, see the 1949 movie “Border Incident.” A gang smuggles illegal Mexican farm workers across the California border and kills the immigrants before they can return home. When federal agents go undercover to overturn the organization, they find themselves face-to-face with its leader. All showings are free and begin at 1 p.m. A discussion follows. Call 425-257-8270.

Silent Movie and Pipe Organ Series: 7:30 p.m. July 11, Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Showing is “The Navigator,” a 1924 comedy starring Buster Keaton. This film mines an ocean liner for every gag you can imagine. A recently broken up couple — both as rich as they are clueless — find themselves stranded on a ship together. Tickets are $14-$17. Everett Film Festival: Mark your calendar: The 23rd annual festival will screen 12 films — including documentaries, animated shorts and full-length features — will be held on a TBD weekend in August at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett. Tickets are $40-$60 for both Friday and Saturday, $25-$30 Friday only and $30-$35 for Saturday only. More at www.everettfilmfestival.org.

Earth Day Celebration: Award-winning filmmakers Sharon Howard and Mike Rosen present their documentary “Wolf: An Ancient Spirit Returns” at 6 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds.
