Everett biker identified in fatal Saturday night crash

EVERETT — An Everett man died after a Saturday night crash at the intersection of Hewitt Avenue and Maple Street, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Jesse A. Mauze, 39, of Everett was riding a motorcycle south on Maple around 9 p.m. Saturday. He reportedly ran a red light and hit a Chevrolet Tahoe that was passing through the intersection on Hewitt, Everett police officer Kerby Duncan said.

No other injuries were reported. Mauze was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett and later died, Duncan said.

The cause of death was blunt-force injuries, an autopsy showed.
